CharityDays founders launch online shopping mall for charities

Nick Aldrich and Phil Price, the founders of CharityDays, the ISP that raises funds for charities, are launching 4Rcharity.co.uk, an online shopping mall that helps charities raise funds online.

4Rcharity.co.uk provides charities with their own free, personalised online shopping mall business. The shopping malls are powered by Affinity Shopper, software developed by CharityDays’ founders.

Each charity shopping mall links to over 700 high street and well known retailers. The charity links to and promotes its shopping mall to its supporters, and the charity receives a commission from every purchase made at no extra cost to the shopper.

Nick Aldrich and Phil Price say that their shopping mall is different from other services because it is provided free of charge and includes “a complete management control centre offering a range of marketing and PR tools to promote the mall”, together with the facility to alter the look and feel of the mall, and “a comprehensive communication system”.

In addition, 4Rcharity.co.uk offers “Fruutz”, an integrated customer loyalty scheme that rewards shoppers with cash back for every purchase they make.

4Rcharity.co.uk say that a recent poll they conducted found that “84% of people would buy goods online if it helped raise money for a cause they cared about.”

“Three out of four people shop online, however our study found that only a tiny percentage of charities use online technology to its full capacity to raise funds for their needs and charitable works,” explained Nick Aldrich, Commercial Director for Affinity Shopper.

“New media channels unquestionably represent the future for cause marketing and collecting. They provide a vital link to today’s society who are actively choosing to shop online, for reasons from cost to practicality, yet still wish to support their favoured charity, and this is where the true value of 4Rcharity.co.uk comes in.”

To celebrate the launch of 4Rcharity.co.uk, the company is offering a free pro version of Affinity Shopper worth £49.99 to all UK Fundraising readers using the promotional code 0905 when registering.
