Company asks shareholders to think green for charity

Elan Corporation, plc, one of Ireland’s leading companies, is inviting its shareholders to opt into receiving their shareholder communications electronically with a donation of ‚€5 being made to MS Ireland for each person that signs up. Traditionally shareholders receive informatin about their shares through the post with millions of sheets of paper sent out each year.

MS Ireland is delighted that Elan Corporation, plc has agreed to support the work of MS Ireland and our work with people with Multiple Sclerosis. By agreeing to undertake this innovative and original scheme Elan are setting a great example for the corporate sector and also helping the environment, said Paul Collins, MS Ireland Fundraising Manager.

Liam Daniel, Company Secretary Elan Corporation, said Elan was delighted to be supporting the work of MS Ireland and we are urging our shareholders to think twice about how they receive communication from us. By signing up to this scheme they will not only help MS Ireland but make a contribution to the environment, he said.
