New online guide to sponsorship and ethics

The Ethical Consumer Research Association (ECRA) has added a new ethics and sponsorship advice section to its website, designed to help UK charities and other values-led organisations protect their reputation in corporate partnerships.

The site offers tools such as a template for creating an organisation’s ethical sponsorship policy, a discussion of some of the key issues, examples of existing policy in the public domain, implementation and practical issues, and references and links to other organisations working in the field.

ECRA hope that the framework will help inform policy on cause-related marketing, affinity marketing, licensing and general corporate fundraising activities.
