Prudential raises £163,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief

Prudential UK and Prudential Property Investment Management Ltd (PruPIM) have raised £163,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief, Prudential’s Charity of the Year in 2005.

The partnership has involved Prudential employees and shopping centres across the UK taking part in a variety of activities and surpassing their original target of £150,000.

As part of the cmopany’s employee involvement programme – “Community Pru” – employees across Prudential UK took part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, ran the Reading Half Marathon, Bupa Great North Run, trekked for 14 days across Britain, and organised a range of fundays.

Prudential employees also took part in a 48-hour UK Challenge climbing 15 peaks in the Peak District. PruPIM shopping centres across the UK took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Macmillan Miles and at the Grafton Centre, Cambridge, they organised their own Giving Tree fundraising event.
