Sainsbury's supports MS in Belfast

Sainsbury’s Forestside store in Belfast, one of the busiest in the UK, has choosen the MS Society as its charity in the first three months of the New Year. The MS Society’s Resource Centre for Northern Ireland is based less than a mile from the store.

Sainsbury’s support will be largely passive by allowing the MS Society to be the beneficiary of their charity collection boxes located in the store.

Nathan Portess, Duty Manager of Sainsbury’s Forestside explained: ‘The stationary Box gives staff and customers the opportunity to donate their loose change to charity. We selected the MS Society as a beneficiary because the charity is locally based and to back the Mayor of Castlereagh, Councillor Tommy Jeffers who is supporting the charity during his Mayoral term.’
