Irish foundation offers grants for community groups

Howard Lake | 13 February 2006 | News

The Katherine Howard Foundation is offering grants for parents and toddler groups and a range of other communty projects. Grants are mainly for projects related to young people, health care, older people, and disadvantaged sections of the community in both the North and South of Ireland.

The Foundation operates two main grant schemes. The first provides grants that are normally in the range of euro 500 – euro 2,000 and are once-off. However, the trustees occasionally fund a project over a 3-year period. Small social research type projects are also considered under this scheme.

A grants scheme for community playgroups and parent and toddler groups provides grants ranging from euro 200 – euro 1,500 and assists a large number of small groups annually.
The deadline is 17th February. The telephone number is 01 4531861.
