Fundraising internship scheme opens for applications at Cancer Research

Howard Lake | 9 December 2005 | News

CANCER Research UK has announced that its spring internship scheme is open for applications.

The internship scheme offers fifteen voluntary placements in fundraising, marketing, retail, procurement, campaigning and communications. The placements will be based in central London and regional offices throughout the UK and most will last 12 weeks, starting in February 2006.

The scheme aims to give applicants a chance to develop their skills while working on some of the charity’s major projects, such as the Bobby Moore Fund, CancerHelp UK (Cancer Research UK’s patient website) and the charity’s campaigning work. Those on the scheme will be offered information and advice on the charity sector as a whole, as well as training on specific areas such as CV writing and interview techniques.
