Action Planning announces CEO strategy conference

Action Planning, ACEVO, and Charity Finance Directors’ Group are partnering to hold strategy conference for Chief Executives of charities. The event is designed to tackle what the organisations call the ‘planning gap’ and help charity leaders develop and implement “inspirational strategic plans”.

‘Delivering the Vision’ will be held on 8 December 2005 and some 200 chief executives and members of senior management teams have registered already.

Most charities now produce some from of strategic plan explains Simon Craft-Stanley, Director of Strategic Consultancy at Action Planning but in the vast majority of cases, the plan stays firmly on the shelf and is never implemented.
