What would make donors more confident about giving over the phone?

Research by fast.MAP has revealed what would make donors and supporters more comfortable about giving to charities over the telephone.

In a recent survey fast.MAP found that over 30% of people questioned said that they were concerned about giving credit and debit card details over the phone.

When asked what would make them feel more secure during such a telephone call:

* 53% said they would feel secure if they received a donation form through the post.

* 31% would prefer a website link so they can find out more about the charity and what their donation would be used for.

* 24% said that they would feel secure if the charity’s registration number was given so they can verify that it was a real charity.
