New $5,000 award for fundraising in Central and Eastern Europe

The Civil Society Development Foundation Hungary (CSDF Hungary) and Fundraising Competence Group GmbH have announced a new award to celebrate fundraising success stories and promote best practices of in the nonprofit sectors in Central and Eastern Europe.

The winning organisation will receive $5,000.

The award is open to registered nonprofit organisations in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, South-Eastern
Europe and Newly Independent States. Specifically, these are Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia-Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

To enter, organisations must have run at least one fundraising campaign between 1 February 2003 and 15 September 2005. Fundraising campaigns may have been
introduced earlier but must have run during this period and have data relative to
the qualifying time.

Entries must be submitted by 17 October 2005.

The winner will be announced at the 10th
Central and Eastern European Fundraising Workshop in Budapest, to be held from 8 – 11 November 2005.
