A fundraising campaign has been launched to help save the life of a man from County Kildare. Mick Springate has sarcoma, a rare form of lung cancer, and has relocated to New York to increase his chances of survival.

The treatment he needs is only available at Sloan Kettering Hospital and is likely to cost over ‚€500,000. The hospital will only start each phase of treatment when payment is received.

Mick’s relatives and friends have set up the Springate Family Cancer Support Trust and begun organising a series of fundraising events.
