Howard Lake | 12 August 2005 | News

Children’s charity War Child will create and start selling a fundraising album within one day to mark the 10th anniversary next month of the first War Child album, Help, which raised almost £2 million for children in Bosnia.

The new album will be recorded on 9 September 2005 by up to 20 artists, and both the album and individual tracks will be available for download from War Child’s website and from other music download sites before the end of the day.

Bands already committed to contributing to “Help: A Day in the Life” include Radiohead, Razorlight, The Coral, The Zutons, Manic
Street Preachers, Bloc Party, and Hard-Fi.
