Sales of mobile phone location service raise funds

Howard Lake | 5 August 2005 | News

A mobile phone location service which will allow parents to keep track of their children’s whereabouts has gone on sale in the UK. One pound from the £39.95 RRP of the KidsOK pack will be donated to the KidsOK Charitable Trust which provides donations to a variety of children’s charities and good causes.

Parents can use this new service discreetly to ‘ping’ their child instead of calling or texting them, explained Richard Jelbert, CEO and co-founder of mTrack Services, the company behind KidsOK. The service allows parents to establish the location of their child’s mobile phone within 60 seconds and to 500m.
