London Bombings Fund total reaches £5 million

The London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund, set up in association with the British Red Cross, has raised more than £5 million in the 11 days since it was launched on 8 July 2005.

As well as donations from individuals and businesses the fund has received a £1 million donation from the Government.

Mark Astarita, director of fundraising, said: “It has been fantastic to see people in London and across the world giving their support to this appeal. I am always moved by the way people come together in times of crisis to help those affected.”
