Kenyan charity offers grants, but its a scam

Charities in the UK are receiving offers by email of a grant from a Kenyan charity called HOPE. It is another scam.
The emails claim to come from a Kenyan charity although the sender “Sharon Gordon-Roberts, General Director & Finance Manager” is writing from The Gambia.
“Pls confirm the receipt the mail so we can furnish you with the payment infor. Keep on good work, ” says Mr Gordon-Roberts.

Although we don’t have proof, it looks like it’s the kind of scam that rapidly escalates into the “giver” requiring some kind of payment to release the funds. In the end the recipient charity ends up completely out of pocket.
It is safer to ignore this offer.
