Tsunami disaster still stirs young people to give, says Giving Nation

Howard Lake | 30 June 2005 | News

Six months on from the tsunami disaster and 92% of young people are crying out to do more for charity, according to national youth initiative Giving Nation.

Research was carried out by Giving Nation to mark the launch of G-Week, from 2-8 July, a national celebration of schools’ charity activity. It shows that whilst most pupils helped raise money for the tsunami appeal, many more said that they would like to do more if they had the opportunity to do so.
