Two lung charities merge

Howard Lake | 25 April 2005 | News

The June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund (JHMRF) has merged with the British Lung Foundation (BLF).

The organisations plan to work together further to raise awareness of mesothelioma, the asbestos caused lung cancer, and to secure research into the disease.

The Leeds-based June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund (JHMRF) was established after June Hancock died from the disease in 1997. She contracted mesothelioma after growing up near an asbestos factory in Armley.
