THINK invests in fundraising with new foundation
Fundraising consultancy THINK has created a foundation for fundraisers, which will offer funding to support the understanding and development of fundraising skills in the non-profit sector around the world.
THINK say that they are investing in their belief that “fundraisers’ personal commitment and enthusiasm will be more effective if they also have professional skills and expertise”.
The THINK Foundation aims to support:

- fundraising bodies that are dedicated to developing fundraising and resource mobilisation skills
- research on specific aspects of fundraising
- publications that further understanding or engender debate on key aspects of fundraising
- individuals in exploring aspects of fundraising (primarily through bursaries to recognised conferences or training programmes)
- creative activity aimed at nurturing innovation in fundraising and donor relations.
The Foundation expects to work with recognised organisations in the fundraising sector but will also initiate its own programme of original initiatives
This is such a welcome development that it’s probably not too surprising that the THINK Foundation says that all its funds for 2005 are already fully committed.
