BT donates sides of payphones for charity's Christmas appeal
National Missing Persons Helpline (NMPH), the charity dedicated to finding missing people and supporting those left behind, is launching its Christmas appeal today with support from BT Payphones.
Pictures of missing people will appear on special screens installed on the sides of 12
BT phone boxes around the centre of Liverpool, publicising their details to
thousands of passers-by.
The 20-inch plasma screens will scroll images and brief details of 13 missing people from the area between 15 December 2004 and 7 January.

Paul Hendron, director of BT Payphones, said: “By using BT payphones in this innovative way we will create a highly visible campaign on the streets around Liverpool to raise awareness of missing people.”
The campaign, which is also supported by Liverpool City Council and the IQ Group, is being run for a second year. The first took place in London last Christmas. The plasma screens were supplied by Sharp and the housing, which has replaced the glass panel on the kiosks, was installed by Eurocraft
Enclosures.
