RNIB benefits from an Orange Christmas

Employees of telecommunications company Orange have raised nearly £60,000 since May 2003 for the RNIB.

One way in which they raised funds was through their ‘Christmas Promise’. This involved donating their last hour’s pay on the last working day of the year, together with selling Christmas cards. Last year they raised £6,000 and this year they plan to repeat the idea and raise even more.

Other Orange fundraising activities include payroll giving, an annual ‘bike to work’, and a 42-mile hike in 24 hours over the Yorkshire moorland trail the Lyke Wake walk. Also, Orange’s former Chief Executive Graham Howe and four colleagues cycled fro Land’s End to John O’Groats raising over £27,000.
