BOC Group’s Balloon Gas team’s new ‘off-the-shelf’ fundraising balloon packs are designed to take the hard work out of organising charity balloon releases.
The new packs are being promoted to charities and schools, and are suitable for organisations wishing to raise both money and the profile of their event.
Gas specialist BOC has created three balloon release packs. The 200 balloon pack, costing £104, comes with 200 ‘easy-tie’ latex balloons, 200 pre-printed race labels, easy operation helium cylinder and filling kit, and delivery/collection of the cylinder and filling kit by BOC.
The 400 balloon pack costs £165 and the 1,000 balloon release costs £295, and both come with latex balloons, pre-printed race labels, cylinder and filling kit, and delivery/collection by BOC.
Joe Bonnett, marketing executive for BOC’s Balloon Gas, said: “If you sell tickets for just £1 each you could raise £96 on a 200 balloon release pack, £235 on the 400 pack and £705 on the 1,000 pack.”
The balloons supplied by BOC are all bio-degradable pure natural latex balloons and all race labels are made from 100 per cent recycled paper. BOC can also customise the balloons with your chosen design or logo. Balloon release nets are also available to accompany each of the packs.
BOC points out that for balloon releases of more than 5,000 balloons written consent from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). For releases of fewer than 5,000 balloons, written approval from the CAA is not required, but local police and any airports within a five mile radius of the balloon launch must be notified.
