Howard Lake | 2 October 2004 | News

National deafblind charity Sense is the official charity of this year’s Chocolate Week, so it is running a chocolate fest at top London store Harvey Nichols.

During Chocolate Week (4 – 10 October 2004), the Fifth Floor Cafe in Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, will be challenging customers to eat as much chocolate mousse as they can in aid of national deafblind charity Sense.

Diners who have a main course at lunch or dinner will be invited to pay £6 for a limitless supply of chocolate mousse, with 50p from the puddings going to Sense.

Sense is also holding its own ‘Chocolate Challenge’ during the week, encouraging chocolate lovers of all ages to hold or take part in a chocolate-related event to raise funds for people who are both deaf and blind.

Sense Events Fundraiser Jo Morgan said: “The senses are very important for tasting and recognising fine chocolate, and we’re delighted to have been chosen as official charity of this year’s Chocolate Week.

Sense has designated Friday 8 October as national Dress Brown Day. The charity is encouraging workers and schoolchildren to dress from head to toe in chocolate brown in support of Sense and pay £1.
