Libraries run virtual Big Brother to raise funds for breast cancer charity

North Lanarkshire Council Libraries Division is using the Big Brother TV series idea to raise funds for Maggie’s Cancer Care charity in Lanarkshire.
Participating library staff don’t have to stay caged up for weeks on end, but the tasks, nominations, voting and evictions of the TV series will all be applied.
Branch staff pay 25p to vote to evict the staff inmate of their choice.

The event runs from 6 September to 8 October 2004, when there will be a Grand Final Social Evening to raise further funds.
