Bare-faced fundraising

The secret is out! Fundraisers in the UK will do almost anything to raise funds. Inspired by the film “The Full Monty”, charity fundraisers have persuaded celebrities and local people to strip for charity. The Brompton Hospital, Marie Curie Cancer Care, and an anti-bullying charity, among others, have all, it would seem, benefited from such strip acts. One event raised over £15,000. The trend has been reported in the US by the Wall Street Journal, and by online publications such as Philanthropy Journal Alert and Pulse. The Monty, however, is seldom Full: g-strings and thongs are reportedly retained even at the climax of the show.
