10-year fundraising campaign pays off for hospital play area

It has taken 10 years to raise the £40,000 needed for a play area at the Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, Kent, but the facility has now been opened.
Sponsored cycle rides by corporate supporters in four countries and a donation from the hospital’s league of friends combined to reach the total.
