National deafblind charity Sense has launched a cause related marketing deal with Flagzbiz, manufacturers of St George’s red and white flags, just in time to take advantage of England football supporters’ rush to buy and display England flags.

The flags, which incorporate the Sense logo, are selling for £1 at City kiosks and other retail outlets in London including newsagents in Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres. Sense will receive 15p for every flag sold. The flags went on sale at the beginning of June before the start of the Euro 2004 tournament.

Tom Young, Coporate Fundraising Manager at Sense, says: “Our relationship with Flagzbiz arose during this year’s Flora London Marathon when the company supplied Sense with flags for our supporters. Since then we are delighted to have extended this by setting up a cause related marketing campaign.

“The St George’s flags are a real hit with football fans up and down the country. It’s really great that we’ve been able to get on board. We hope the flags will help raise awareness of Sense as well as generating some income.”
