Yellow anniversary roses

To celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Brownies Girlguiding UK is launching a Brownie Rose which will raise funds for the organisation.

The Brownie Rose is a yellow ‘Floribunda’ and has been grown by specialists Harkness Roses. The roses will be launched at the Harkness Roses stall at the Chelsea Flower Show this month. The Brownie rose will retail at £7.95 per plant: for every plant sold by Harkness, 10% of the gross sale will be donated to Girlguiding UK and 30% for every plant sold through Girlguiding UK Trading Services.

The Brownies, founded in 1914, were originally called Rosebuds, and have remained the most popular youth group for girls aged 7 – 10 years.
