Mobile phone company Orange is seeking applications for its grants programme that recognises and rewards grass-roots projects run to benefit people with sensory disabilities.

The Orange community futures awards is a grants scheme designed to support local community projects that use communication creatively to enable people with sensory disabilities to participate more fully in society. The awards scheme, now in its second year, forms part of Orange’s wider community investment programme and corporate responsibility strategy.

Small groups may apply for awards of between £2,500 and £5,000. Application forms are available from 10 May 2004 onwards. The closing date for applying is 31 August 2004.
