Section 64 funding to be delivered faster through online processing

Howard Lake | 6 April 2004 | News

The Department of Health has moved the Section 64 funding process online, which should speed up the grantmaking process.

The Department of Health’s Section 64 funding process is a nail-biting ride for many charities. Although the grants should be confirmed by 15 January each year, some charities are not informed if their application has been successful until the end of March.

From 1 April 2004 the Department has moved the application and processing stages online with the intention of speeding up the whole process. Applications for funding for 2005-2006 can now be made online with the first-stage application deadline being 14 May 2004.
