£50 grants available for local environmental projects

CSV and the Environment Agency are offering volunteers a £50 grant to help with local environmental projects.
The grants are available now as part of the Environment Agency Action Earth campaign which runs from 31 January to 5 June 2004, World Environment Day.
Grants are designed to meet expenses including materials, seed or even hot soup for volunteers. To qualify projects must improve the local environment, involve volunteers, and meet a local community need.
Last year over 750 local projects took place across the country, and this year Action Earth expects 850 to be held.
