Occam launch new campaign evaluation model

Occam, the database solutions provider, has launched a new analysis model called Occam.LTV (Life Time Value) which should help fundraisers get more from their data.

Occam.LTV helps fundraisers identify trends within their data so can help them use it as an effective planning and budgeting tool. The model offers its users the ability to run “what if” scenarios across many different variables such as channel cost, attrition rates and interest rates. Occam say that “it will enable fundraisers to plan effectively for the future in a way never before possible until now.”

Occam’s model takes fundraisers beyond the traditional method of analysing campaign effectivness in terms of the number of supporters recruited, how much money it raised and how much it cost to run. Occam.LTV allows fundraisers to answer questions such as how long supporters carry on giving to your charity, wow lifetime values vary if supporters are multi-givers, e.g. both donors and members, and whether supporters give more or less than people recruited through other campaigns.

By identifying which recruitment methods are truly effective, the new model should help fundraisers “to avoid the dangers of looking at the first year of ROI” and direct their budget to where it should be spent.

Occam.LTV can be used on any size of a supporter database. Occam say that, on receipt of the data, they will deliver a working model back within 2-3 weeks.

Occam intends to market Occam.LTV to its 130 charity clients alongside other top 50 charities in the UK.
