Thief steals from players in charity rugby match

A thief stole an estimated £8,000 worth of personal valuables from players taking part in a fundraising rugby match in aid of Milly’s Fund, the charity set up in memory of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler.

Rings, wallets, watches and cash were among the items stolen from the changing rooms at Esher Rugby Club in Surrey, according to the BBC. The thief is reported to have claimed that he was working at the fundraising event.
