Schroders celebrates 200th anniversary by partnering with Macmillan

Howard Lake | 18 February 2004 | News

Financial firm Schroders has chosen Macmillan Cancer Relief as its Charity of the Year partner in its 200th anniversary year.

Macmillan was chosen as the beneficiary charity in the UK after employees at Schroders nominated cancer research and children’s charities as those they would most like to support. Charities engaged in similar activities overseas will also be supported by Schroders’ global network of offices.

Schroders, which last year was ranked top of the FTSE 100 Companies Guardian Giving List, has set a target of £500,000 to be raised across the year. This target will be achieved through a combination of employee fundraising and matched giving from Schroders.
