Institute of Fundraising publishes latest best practice codes

The Institute of Fundraising has published the 2004 edition of its Codes of Fundraising Practice and distributed a printed copy to every member.

The codes have been updated with one new code – Funding from Grantmaking Trusts, and the full revision of Reciprocal Charity Mailings. Other codes have undergone minor revisions.

The Institute plans to publish an up-to-date edition of the codes every year.

Members can buy additional copies of the printed codes for £5, or they can be downloaded individually from the Institute’s Web site.

The Institute took the opportunity of distributing the codes to members to include a copy of the Giving Campaign’s latest publication “Fundraising and Trustees: The Essential Guide.” This is designed to help fundraisers engage more closely with trustees and help them understand and get involved with fundraising more effectively.
