Soil Association chooses Progress database
The Soil Association, the campaigning and certification organisation for organic food and farming, has chosen the Progress database to manage their fundraising, events and membership.
Over time the Soil Association intend to incorporate all their contacts into the database so it will be used organisation-wide as a contact management system.
The Progress database has been developed by charity software specialists Fisk Brett, and is in use by 140 other charities and associations such as Sight Savers International, MIND, and the Royal Opera House.

Eric Booth, Information Systems Manager at the Soil Association, said: “Progress will enable us to manage our membership and fundraising activities more efficiently and gain greater value from the data we hold. It will also enable us to integrate our internal systems more effectively, in particular with our Web site, to provide a better service to our members and supporters.”
He explained why Progress was selected. “We chose Progress as it provided the right balance of a flexible, well-designed data structure, built on scalable technologies and within our budget. We also found Fisk Brett to be responsive to our needs and requirements.”
