Affinity ISP for charites celebrates second birthday

CharityDays, the Internet Service Provider (ISP) that donates money to UK charities, has reached its second anniversary and reports that it “has faithfully delivered on its promise of paying out to its member
charities every quarter.”

CharityDays was launched in October 2001 in a crowded and very competitive market. Other companies had already established charity affinity ISPs, such as Care4free, but most had failed within a short time.

CharityDays however has survived and its service had won accolades: Internet
Magazine voted CharityDays 4th Best ISP in The UK in 2002 and Practical Internet magazine voted DAYS as a top five unmetered provider.

CharityDays now has over 125 member charities, including Oxfam, Cancer Research UK, NCH, RSPCA and Youth Hostels Association. Saskya Huggins, Corporate Partnerships Manager for Oxfam said “We have been promoting CharityDays to our supporters for over a year now and the product
has proven excellent in relation to both take up and the donations we
receive every quarter. Celebrity Graham Norton became our 1000th sign up earlier
this year. CharityDays is now one of our key affinity schemes.”

CharityDays has just redesigned its Web site and has announced new services including a £12.99 unmetered anytime product, Home ADSL broadband from £23.99, with 1Mb costing £36.99, and a new
£29.99 all inclusive broadband hardware and installation bundle. Charity donations for each product remain unchanged at 60% of the company’s income. These vary from £1.54 per month per user to over £12 per month depending on which type of subscription supporters take out. CharityDays also offers services tailored to business customers.
