Forthcoming consultations on public collections

Howard Lake | 6 October 2003 | News

There are still some more opportunities to influence the Home Office on the issue of public charitable collections.

The Home Office is holding a number of consultations around the country to obtain feedback on their recent consultation document on public collections. They are hoping to receive input from charities who undertake fundraising activities, professional fundraising organisations and umbrella bodies, local licensing and trading standards officers, town centre managers and the police. There is no charge for any of the events.

Events have already been held in Cambridge, Newcastle and Taunton. The next event will be held today in Manchester at the City of Manchester Stadium from 2-4.30pm. Telephone 0161 9524380 for details.
