Guardian Charity Awards 2003 winners announced

Five small charities with annual incomes of below £1 million have won this year’s Guardian Charity Awards.

The winners were Theodora Children’s Trust, The Shilbottle Skills Centre, Friends of the Earth Scotland, No Panic, and Ace of Clubs. Each received a payment of £5,000 and they will also be given a free Web site designed by smartchange.org.

The awards recognise outstanding contributions made to social welfare by small charities. They are sponsored by Sainsbury’s.
