Why your supporters are wealthier than you expect. Course details.

Tips on international fundraising from alumni requested

Telephone fundraising consultants Rux-Burton Associates are asking for tips on fundraising from alumni outside the UK for their next newsletter.

Next month Rux-Burton Associates (RBA) are writing an article entitled ‘The rough guide to international fundraising’ for their newsletter. It will have a large range
of tips, opportunities and pitfalls to avoid across the world when fundraising from alumni outside of the UK.

The agency is asking educational or other fundraisers to get involved by contributing some tips of their own, whether this means a couple of lines or a couple of paragraphs. These could be anything from something as simple as “the best time of year for personal visits in the Far East is in October” to something more detailed such as how to make gifts from North America tax efficient for the donor.

Although the focus will most likely be on fundraising from alumni who are living in
North America, Europe, the Far East and Australia, RBA will welcome ideas/tips for alumni based anywhere in the world.

All tips used will be referenced. The newsletter is sent to over 1000 UK educational institutions.

Tips are requested by 5 September 2003. Contact Simon Lerwill, Marketing Manager at Rux-Burton Associates Limited.
