The Guide to Grants for Individuals in Need 24/25 - hold an umbrella over someone's head

Giving Campaign launches tax-effective giving book

The Giving Campaign has launched ‘Making giving go further’, a free new guide for fundraisers on tax-effective giving.

‘Making giving go further’ is a comprehensive tax-effective giving resource for fundraisers, explaining how each charitable giving method works and the associated tax reliefs available for charities, individual donors and businesses.

The book brings together all the work the Campaign has done to help charities of all sizes make the most of tax-effective giving, with sections on Gift Aid, Payroll Giving, Share Giving, legacies and giving to businesses. Written for charity fundraisers of all levels, it explains how all the reliefs work, what the benefits are for both charity and donor and tips on how to successfully market tax-effective giving.

Brenda Campbell, Campaign Manager for tax-effective giving at The Giving Campaign and author of the book, says: “Far too few charitable donations are currently being given tax-effectively, so the full potential of charities’ fundraising power remains largely unrealised. This guide is intended to provide charities with a complete resource pack on tax-effective giving, answer any queries they may have and encourage them to be more proactive in boosting their income in this way.” The book has a cover price of £10 but is free to all charities.
