Bloom Media creates fundraising Web site for free

It is still possible for charities to acquire a Web site at no charge, as international charity Facing The World has just demonstrated.

Leeds-based Bloom Media has developed free of charge a fundraising Web site for the charity that offers assistance to children from around the world who suffer from facial disfigurements.

The web design company specialises in designing medical and business web and e-commerce sites. Director Alex Craven commented: “As the UK’s leading medical Internet specialist around 70% of our sites are in the medical field, and we do try to assist charities wherever we can.”

The new site accepts credit card payments online using the Justgiving.com system, and is managed by the charity using a content management system. Bloom covered all the costs of their own design and programming, and even negotiated discounts from other suppliers.
