John Stubbs, former membership secretary of the Institute of Fundraising’s Trusts special interest group, has died.
John died last night in a hospice after battling with cancer for a number of months. Steve Vesse, Assistant Development Director at The University of Nottingham, said on behalf of the group committee:; “We are very sorry to lose a very good worker and valued colleague.”
John set up and ran the group’s e-mail discussion forum. He admitted that he was inspired by FundUK, UK Fundraising’s pioneering e-mail discussion list for fundraisers which has been running since 1996. He wanted to offer a more focused service for trust fundraisers.
