Charities can get Web sites donated

Cost has put off many charities from investing in their Web or e-mail marketing, but it is still possible to reduce costs substantially by securing donated hosting or Web design services.

Anti-Slavery International is the latest charity that we’ve come across that has secured donated Web services. Their Web site includes a thank you to “Visible Edge and Grapevine Internet Limited for donating so much of their time, expertise and enthusiasm to the development of this website.”

Both Grapevine Internet and Visible Edge provided free time and effort to complete the website redesign project for September 2000.

Many other charities have been similarly successful over the years. UK Fundraising is happy to put together a brief list of examples to demonstrate this and to encourage other charities to investigate this option. If you have secured free hosting, Web site design, online marketing or other online fundraising-related services for free, then let us know and we’ll consider adding them to this article. Contact Howard Lake with the brief details. Don’t forget to include your Web address/URL so we can link to your site.
