Amazon.co.uk promotes Marketplace with NSPCC auction
Amazon.co.uk is promoting its Marketplace facility by hosting an online auction of celebrity autographed items in aid of the NSPCC.
Amazon.co.uk’s Marketplace facility allows people to buy and sell new, used, collectable and refurbished items on the same page that Amazon displays and sells the new item. People can choose to buy the item new from Amazon.co.uk, or buy a new, used, collectable or refurbished item from a Marketplace seller, sometimes at a reduced price.
Amazon.co.uk is promoting this facility with an online marketplace and auction for the NSPCC. Items available that will raise funds for the children’s charity include signed England football team shirts, a guitar signed by the band Coldplay, and five signed copies of “Forever Summer” by Nigella Lawson.

The NSPCC has teamed up with a number of online companies, although interestingly it hasn’t become an Amazon.co.uk associate to earn commission on selling books via Amazon. Instead it generates revenue by selling books via another online book retailer, justgoodbooks.co.uk.
