Local hits out at Three Peaks challenges

Howard Lake | 14 July 2002 | News

The increasing number of Three Peaks and similar charity challenges is still causing environmental and other problems, says a walker and climber who lives and works in Wasdale.

Guy Newbould tells OutdoorsMagic.com that “charities need to aware of the damage they are causing and made to pay for the repairs, or installation of facilities. The event needs to be controlled so that it isn’t going on during the night and large groups don’t pick the same weekend.”
