RNIB launches online game for Lookloud Day
RNIB has launched an accessible online dressing-up game for its Lookloud fundraising day.
The RNIB online game allows visitors to dress up dolls in loud clothes as part of the Lookloud Day of fundraising dressing-up on 14 June. After you dress up your doll in the most garish, mis-matched clothing you can imagine, you are then encouraged to e-mail your creation to a friend, who can then dress their own doll in their own wacky way.
Online agency Bluewave designed the game, and RNIB is promoting it using a viral e-mail campaign. The game has been designed to be fully accessible to blind and partially-sighted Internet users and was built using Macromedia’s new Flash MX. The game uses both audio and visual techniques to guide the user through the game. Flash MX’s new accessibility features mean that the game can be read by Windoweyes, the screen-reading tool used by many blind Internet users.
