Charities Buying Group launches to save charities money

The Charities Buying Group is a new non-profit initiative designed to help charities reduce overheads and lower costs.

The Charities Buying Group has been set up by disability charity Leonard Cheshire. Its free services are available to charitable and not-for-profit organisations irrespective of size.

Michael J. Hodgetts, Director of Purchasing Services at Leonard Cheshire, said: “already our member charities, ranging from single location charities through to organisations such as The World Wildlife Fund and The Royal British Legion have saved thousands of pounds.”

The Charities Buying Group (CBG) says its members can make savings of up to 30% on stationery, printing and reprographics, electricity supply and telephone calls and other services.
