UK Fundraising has heard that at least two national UK charities have found that the .org version of their domain name has been registered by someone else and that visitors to those domain names will reach a porn site.

UK Fundraising has heard that at least two national UK charities have found that the .org version of their domain name has been registered by someone else and that visitors to those domain names will reach a porn site. We recommend that you check the .org, as opposed to the org.uk, version of your domain name and see what comes up.

If you do not like what you see and you wish to contact one of the national charities that is facing this problem then UK Fundraising will be happy to pass on your details in confidence to this charity.

You can usually research a domain name owner at WHOIS servers such as betterwhois.com. Contact Howard Lake if you would like your details to be passed on to one of the affected charities.
