Rebecca Rux-Burton is conducting research at Oxford University into the motivations behind giving to charities, comparing third world charities and educational institutions, on the basis of income per ask whether by mailshot or telephone. She plans to take into account the giving rate and the average gift.

She is asking people at third world and educational charities to complete a short Web-based survey to help her in her research.
