Whizz-Kidz offers online support to sponsored fundraisers

National children’s mobility charity Whizz-Kidz has teamed up with bmycharity.com to offer online support for sponsored fundraising events by supporters.
National children’s mobility charity Whizz-Kidz has teamed up with bmycharity.com to offer online support for sponsored fundraising events by supporters. It gives the charity’s fundraisers, such as marathon runners and participants in overseas challenges, the opportunity to create and host Web pages that can be accessed by friends, family and colleagues. Fundraisers can use bmycharity.com to provide regular updates on training and fundraising activities, receive direct secure donations and use e-mail to promote their fundraising efforts.
The system has helped raise £11,000 since its launch in March 2001.

Bmycharity.com state that there is no charge to charities to join the service, but they do charge “a small commission on each donation.” The company says that donations include a Gift Aid option.
Having developed the system with Whizz-Kidz, bmycharity is offering it to other charities.
